The salary range for this position is $164,000 - $205,000 per year based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Kendo Total Rewards offerings also include an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental and vision insurance, flex paid time off program, parental leave, employee discount/perks, a retirement plan with employer contributions, Summer Fridays, opportunity to work from anywhere for two weeks in the summer and July and December wellness/shutdown weeks for applicable positions.
POSITION SUMMARY
As the Director of Global Marketing + Media for Ole Henriksen you'll be responsible leading, creating, executing and driving innovative, yet efficient 360 marketing strategies and plans that shape the future of this leading global Brand.
You will serve as the Marketing lead to internal and external functional partners, founder, vendors and agencies. The ideal candidate would have 10+ years in marketing, with significant experience in global marketing and paid media. This role is "part art and part science" - requiring strong analytical prowess, expertise in the beauty & skincare space, combined with passion for brand building, consumer insights and disruptive marketing ideas. Some travel will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and own the overall Global marketing strategy and implementation across the globe, working closely with cross-functional and Executive teams at Global Headquarters, as well as international regional teams, retailers and founder teams.
- Create and help execute comprehensive, disruptive marketing plans across all marketing levers, including but not limited to paid media, PR, social, digital, experiential, etc.
- Lead paid media strategy for the Brand - mapping the consumer journey and identifying the right channels and the right messages to meet our audience with.
- Have a deep understanding of content best practices across media channels across key regions.
- Strong partnership with the creative directors and teams to ensure all content briefed and produced meets channel best practices with an eye towards innovative new content ideas that set the new standard within the industry.
- Ability to compile and analyze media performance and data quickly to create data-based recommendations and strategies to optimize campaigns and content.
- Oversee and supervise deliverables throughout the campaign life cycle, from research to planning to execution, tracking and optimization. Provide weekly reporting to leadership on campaign performance and impact to business.
- This role is responsible for the media agency relationship and ensuring industry leading thought leadership, innovation ideas and execution of campaigns that deliver a strong brand awareness, engagement and ROAS.
- Kendo paid media leadership - in partnership with the other paid media leads at Kendo this role will shape the future of paid media for Kendo, building paid media expertise within the organization, staying on the forefront of new media trends, innovation, best practices, mentoring talent on team to build the next generation of media experts and providing thought leadership Kendo worldwide.
- Lead PR strategy and ensure strong innovation ideas and best in class execution with PR agency. Provide weekly reporting to leadership.
- Anticipate future trends and react to business needs to constantly refine marketing strategies and plans.
- Ability to brief & guide creative in an effective way with both internal and external teams.
- Develop, manage and allocate marketing budget for brand across all levers and regions.
- Provide leadership to direct reports including coaching, development and strategic/tactical direction, serving as an inspiring mentor and role-model to team members.
- Responsible for presenting and adapting plans based on feedback to internal and external.
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of experience in marketing on beauty brand and/or agency side with knowledge and expertise in skincare specifically. Plus, a strong understanding of full global media landscape and experience managing and briefing media agencies.
- Experience developing innovative 360 marketing plans that heavily leverage paid media, inclusive of offline, digital and social mediums, to delivery effective marketing messages.
- Effective relationship-building skills; professional savvy and organizational agility to leverage partnerships across the organization to get work done.
- Incredible communicator with ability to craft and pitch immersive marketing stories and plans.
- Comfort and poise when working with and presenting marketing strategies to executives and notable individuals.
- Exceptional leadership skills (proven experience managing, inspiring and leading a team 2+ members).
- Passion for consumer insights, data and cultural trends to help shape bigger ideas to drive the business.
- Must have curious mindset with passion to continuously test, learn and push the boundaries to drive innovation and disruption.
