We are seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies that drive revenue and position both the hotel and offsite event venue as premier luxury destinations. This role requires a creative and dynamic person with a passion for hospitality and a talent for fostering relationships. This position will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing, supported by the Regional Director of Sales, and will work closely with on-property teams to deliver exceptional guest and client experiences.

This individual will reside in the Leesburg, VA area. This position is 75% on-site and 25% remote and will require occasional travel. This is an exempt position that reports to the Regional Director of Sales. The base salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000.

The Burg

Opening in August 2025, Hotel Burg is a luxury boutique hotel located in historic Leesburg VA. At opening, Hotel Burg will offer 39 guest rooms and suites, upscale dining, a rooftop bar and a private social club. The hotel’s sister property, The Manor 1858, is an offsite luxury event venue located in Loudoun County, specializing in weddings and events.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Work with the Regional Director of Sales to develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for the hotel and event venue, focusing on leisure, group, corporate, and the wedding segment.
  • Achieve sales goals and drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding client relationships.
  • Conduct regular competitor and market analyses to understand changes to the greater Leesburg landscape and stay competitive.
  • Work with regional marketing team to create marketing campaigns that elevate brand presence and drive interest across digital and traditional platforms, including social media, email marketing, and SEO.
  • Build strong relationships with wedding planners, corporate clients, and local event coordinators to increase booking referrals and revenue.
  • Oversee the sales process from inquiry through contract negotiation, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for clients.
  • Collaborate with the revenue management and Regional DOS to establish pricing strategies and optimize room rates, group opportunities, and wedding/event pricing.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management, General Manager and Regional Director of Sales to create budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to create, promote, and sell the event and rooftop spaces.
  • Work closely with the hotel and venue operations teams to ensure outstanding client experiences, from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.
  • Attend industry events and wedding trade shows to promote the property, develop key industry contacts, and drive new business.
  • Encourage cross-departmental collaboration and communication to ensure brand consistency and optimize sales processes.
  • Champion employee engagement and promote a collaborative and inclusive environment where all employees are encouraged to speak up and their input is valued.
  • Partner with shared services (marketing, sales, revenue management, and people & culture) to optimize performance and align companywide initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales positions in the hospitality industry.
  • Have a track record of achieving and maintaining superior sales and revenue results at your hotel.
  • Demonstrate thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry, sound administrative skills, and well developed management skills.
  • Demonstrate a track record of production in sales.
  • Have a track record of achieving and maintaining superior sales and revenue results at your hotel(s) and can articulate the underlying strategies that led to your achievements.
  • Demonstrate thorough experience with professional selling skills: opening, probing, supporting, closing.
  • Able to train and monitor the process of sending referrals, setting traces, and profiling accounts.
  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry, have a strong financial background, sound administrative skills, well developed management skills, and have demonstrated ability to effectively lead.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • The experience/knowledge of what a good piece of business looks like, as well as the ability to communicate and collaborate with the operations team so they know what our guests will be expecting.
  • Ability to use the tools of our trade: computers, Hospitality CRM (Salesforce), databases, property management systems, and industry business intelligence tools (Agency360).
