FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We're hiring a Senior Producer to join the team behind LiveNOW from FOX, FOX TV Stations' national live streaming news product. Reporting to the Executive Producer, the Senior Producer will help take LiveNOW's content to the next level. You will serve as the primary editorial leader on weekends and take an active role in boosting the quality of our product while championing the LiveNOW mission. This position is based at our west coast headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Take a hands-on role in producing relevant, timely, live coverage of breaking news and major news events for all digital platforms, while setting the tone for and mentoring other producers. Monitor video feeds, social media and other newsgathering tools for fresh, live content and the latest information. Contribute to coverage plans of major stories and live events to drive viewer engagement. Work closely with LiveNOW leadership to develop and adjust producer workflows as needed. Help identify future producers and play as key role in training news staff on all technical, editorial and presentation aspects of LiveNOW. Support LiveNOW's efforts to cultivate relationships with key players at FTS O&O stations and other internal or external partners. Lead editorial process on weekends and other dayparts as assigned, overseeing staff and making all necessary editorial decisions. Ensure content meets editorial standards. Stay on top of current news and events, as well as industry news. Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:Experience taking a lead role in planning and producing live news content, including breaking news on digital, social and broadcast platforms, preferred. BA/BS degree, preferably in Journalism, Communications or related field. Tech-savvy multitasker with strong knowledge of technical aspects of digital news production, including live streaming and video publishing preferred. Team leader with a track record of taking ownership and successfully executing key projects or initiatives. Superior news judgment. Impeccable organization skills. Unparalleled attention to detail. Thrive in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure. Proficient in social media, SEO and various tools used for web-based newsgathering, content creation and digital analytics. Varied hours including regular weekend and evening shifts, and holidays as required.
