Description:

Our films business segment is growing and looking for a Senior Product Manager to help drive the transformation of the business through insights-based strategies that increase profitability and enable a product pipeline that delivers on the unmet needs of the market.
The primary responsibilities for the Senior Product Manager include business and product development (including development of product roadmap), improving the profitability of the business, working with supply chain to ensure we are making the right products in the right places, and market and competitive intelligence.

The primary responsibilities for the Senior Product Manager include business and product development (including development of product roadmap), improving the profitability of the business, working with supply chain to ensure we are making the right products in the right places, and market and competitive intelligence.
responsibilities:
Manage development and commercialization of new products.
- Perform research to develop clear understanding of markets, customers, competition, relative performance, positioning and right to win for products.
- Develop roadmap for specific markets & products aligned with business segment strategy.
- Initiate and drive new product development projects aligned with business segment strategy.
- Develop specific project and business plans including opportunity size, product requirements, pricing, and value proposition. The plans should be validated via voice of the customer ("VOC") and market research.
- Execute project plans; actively manage development and commercialization projects working closely with R&D, customers/OEM partners and sales.
Improve the profitability of the business.
- Review customer and sku level profitability and develop recommendations to improve.
- In conjunction with supply chain, finance, and pricing, monitor needs for pricing actions to maintain margin.
- Work closely with supply chain to ensure we make the right products in the right places to maximize customer service levels and profitability.
Partner with the sales team to deliver on the business strategy.
- Perform sales training on products.
- Collaborate with marketing leads to develop and maintain sales tools- Collateral, Product Demos/Sample Kits, Website, Advertising, Press Releases, White Papers, etc.
- Assist in developing content and presenting insights to strategic customers.
Create market and competitive intelligence capability designed to inform profitable management of our core portfolio.
- Leverage internal and external resources to develop competitive insights that drive better informed decisions around pricing, product development, and positioning.
- Track market & product trends that will impact product roadmap and business direction.
qualifications:
- Must be able to partner effectively with key stakeholders in the organization, including sales, operations, quality, supply chain and engineering teams
- Proficiency for understanding the financial implications of recommendations and/or decisions.
- Product/Project Management training and certification is desirable.
- Experience developing product specifications based on customer VOC and market trends.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business or marketing required.
- 5-10 years' experience in product management, sales, and/or marketing
- Minimum two years' experience in product management. Knowledge of thermoplastics is ideal but not required.
