We are looking for a communication professional who is passionate about employee engagement.

As an Internal Communications Manager at DigitalOcean, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to revolutionizing cloud computing. This position will report directly to the Director of Internal Communications and Employee Engagement within the People Organization. We are dedicated to ensuring that information flows effortlessly to every employee, creating a workplace where communication is not just a process but a smooth, integral part of our organizational culture.
What You'll Do:
  • Establish the voice of our Product, Marketing and Revenue teams internally, promoting their programs and accomplishments company-wide, with an emphasis on speed, community, innovation and customer centricity.
  • Advise our Product, Marketing, and Revenue Executives and their People Business Partners on best practices for functional internal communications and partners to execute.
  • Partner with Developer Marketing, PMM, PR, Social, and other teams to amplify company events and product releases.
  • Launch a customer spotlight program internally and find additional ways to increase customer-centricity across our employee base.
  • Own DigitalOcean's Product "Ship It" Program across the company and Product org.
  • Train functions and uphold best practices with DO's communication tools.
  • Leverage analytics and data to drive thoughtful internal communications across the business.
  • Play an instrumental role in supporting the Director of Internal Communications & Engagement with any product-related Mergers & Acquisition or other strategic projects.
What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:
  • Strong experience as an internal communication specialist, ideally in a technology organization that has experienced massive growth.
  • You should understand the operational areas of the business to guide leaders through complex communication and change management challenges and give feedback on IC topics.
  • Experience in creating Executive Internal Communication and Recognition programs and excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Ability to work proactively to address opportunities for better communication.
  • Passion for people and change management
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Communications or Marketing.
  • Experience building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders. Highly self-motivated and driven, able to work well in team and independent environments.
  • A growth mindset, technical curiosity, and knowledge of emerging best practice trends in Internal Comms and Employee Engagement.
  • A deep sense of empathy. You connect well with executives and employees at all levels and understand their needs. A friendly and approachable communication style.

  • We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $80,000 - $90,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
