National multidisciplinary design firm is seeking a talented Marketing Manager to join their Boston MA office. The firm has 12 offices all around the world focusing on healthcare, arts and culture, community, corporate, education, and government projects. Recently, the firm won the prestigious American Architecture Award for Museums and Cultural Building, along with IIDA Healthcare Design Award.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Marketing Manager to lead a team of curious and talented marketers, and work closely with local principals and business developers. The Marketing Manager is part of a dynamic national marketing leadership team and reports to the Director of Marketing. With a comprehensive understanding of our industry and markets, expertise, and relationships, the ideal candidate will make a positive, measurable impact. Working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, you will guide your team in creating strategic and compelling content for proposals, presentations, award submissions, conference presentations, and other marketing collateral.

Responsibilities
This role primarily:
  1. Collaborate with Boston office director, practice group leaders, business developers, and market strategists to plan, manage, and execute a regional marketing plan that supports firm-wide and sector specific strategies;
  2. Partner with business development and provide leadership during the proposal and interview process to ensure that adequate resources are available to meet quality expectations and production to secure new work;
  3. Champion national and sector specific marketing initiatives and work closely with regional principals, business developers, and market strategists to create proposal content, including but not limited to project case studies, employee bios, expertise, and approach narratives;
  4. Lead content development for conference presentations, award submissions, project tour books, brochures, and other marketing collateral, in close partnership with principals, business development and market strategists;
  5. Provide developmental growth opportunities and guidance that instills confidence in team members, and contribute to recruiting, training, promotion, and retention of marketing staff nationally;
  6. Contribute to a culture that institutes sharing of best practices to drive continuous improvement and collaborate with national marketing leadership to plan and roll out marketing initiatives, firm strategies;
  7. Drive collaboration with communications team and follow through on PR, web site, and social media campaign opportunities that promote thought leadership and project milestone announcements;
  8. Plan and oversee process for employee headshot photography and project photography budget planning and scheduling;
  9. Contribute to annual marketing budget planning and provide periodic budget audits; and
  10. Stay abreast of current and emerging trends by attending industry programs and representing the firm within local A/E/C community and encourage similar commitment from your team


Qualifications

Background we're looking for:

  • B.S. or B.A. in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in AEC industry.
  • Excellent project management, supervisory, and leadership skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Proven ability to initiate work, make strategic decisions, and follow through to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Solid writing and editing skills with a high level of creativity and design sense.
  • Superb attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in RFQ/RFP/Interview process, including development of effective and tailored messaging/graphics.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and displaying grace while working in a deadline driven fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communications skills and ability to adapt and connect with a diverse audience to motivate and encourage effective team collaboration.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator) and Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based asset management and CRM systems a plus.
