Who You Are

Justworks is seeking a Product Designer to join our Time + Money Experience Design team. Justworks' Time + Money experiences are central to the Justworks customer experience. These software tools enable administrators and their team to plan their work schedule, track their hours worked, and understand and manage their pay.

As a member of this team, you will work closely with cross-functional teams delivering our Time Tracking and Payroll products. You will rely on your systems thinking skills and obsession of craft to solve complex design problems and deliver elegant and delightful solutions.

In this role, you will apply your passion for tackling complex design problems with a focus on our customers' needs. You are a versatile designer who steps back to analyze complex workflows and also dives into the details of interactions and user interface. You share early and often, holding nothing precious and collaborating with other designers to establish a world-class user experience for our customers across the Justworks product suite. You balance systems-level thinking with an eye for detail, constantly striving to shape complex, difficult user problems into simple, seamless experiences.
Your Success Profile
What You Will Work On
  • Design experiences across the entire product development lifecycle, from discovery to conceptualization to delivery and launch
  • Collaborate with other designers, product managers, researchers, marketers, data scientists, and engineers to identify and define design problems
  • Conduct and collaborate on user research, testing, and data analysis to understand user behavior and inform design decisions
  • Validate design decisions through rapid prototyping and experimentation
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to deliver high-quality experiences
  • Help shape our internal design system with consistency and efficiency in mind
  • Perform other related responsibilities as needed based on department and/or organizational needs.

Qualifications
  • You have 5+ years of experience designing web- and mobile-based applications.
  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating fluidly with engineers, product managers, researchers, marketers, data scientists, and others.
  • Experience designing for complex workflows, ideally for financial tools such as reporting on economic data and accounting, and/or working on applications such as Quickbooks, Xero, etc.
  • A portfolio of professional design work for real-world applications; and the ability to present your work in the form of case studies articulating the design problem, your process, and the eventual business impact.
  • Attention to detail, and a refined sense of craft in visual design, typography, and brand expression.
  • You're a problem solver and effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.
  • You value the details, but you also seek broad perspectives.
  • You know your work can always be better and seek feedback early and often from your coworkers and customers.
  • You're humble, thoughtful, and genuinely care about the quality of what ships to our customers.
  • You're fluent in Figma and other industry standard design tools.

The base wage range for this position based is targeted at $156,750.00 to $172,425.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
