Job Summary/Description:
We are seeking an organized and creative professional to lead our digital and broadcast sales efforts as a Multimedia Sales Manager. This position works with the General Manager/Director of Sales on business development for the station, specifically championing digital sales.
The ideal candidate has a solid track record of successfully driving new local direct revenue through both digital & broadcast solutions. We are looking for an experienced leader who loves building, coaching & mentoring a team of sales professionals and will lead by example in developing & growing a network of relationships within the community. Strong technical expertise is a must - pricing & inventory management, negotiating business to drive revenue, pending/forecasting/budgeting. We have a talented sales team driven to succeed.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Collaborate with the sales leadership team to accomplish station objectives
• Motivate the local sales team so that digital and broadcast revenue goals are achieved
• Drive digital revenue growth and ensure all digital budgets and goals are met or exceeded with a focus on new local direct business
• Manage direct, and train to maximize the performance of the media executives
• Assisting Multimedia Executives in presenting and closing digital business
• Developing sales presentations and collateral using up-to-date research materials
• Maintaining campaign tracking, delivery, and reporting to ensure campaign success
• Overseeing digital pricing and revenue forecasting
• Promoting a winning, positive culture
• Working at a partnership/consultative level as an expert in digital advertising with Multimedia Consultants and advertisers
• Working in tandem with the Director of Sales on revenue generation strategy and forecasting
• Oversight of all digital sales products, inventory management, and pricing strategies
• Interface with operational systems such as Wide Orbit, Matrix, Research Analytics, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Digital and Broadcast Advertising Sales
• A proven leader with the ability to work independently, think ahead, and put into place action items that need to be accomplished
• Ability to promote a positive, result-oriented culture that is passionate about the media landscape and help local Media Executives and Clients be successful
• Comfortable holding team members accountable to their budgets and goals while helping them achieve success
• Ability to translate and communicate problems into opportunities
• Presentation experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, manage time wisely, and prioritize projects and people
• Strong computer skills, PowerPoint, Excel, social media proficiency, etc.
• The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two years of digital sales experience
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record, MVR check required at hire and monitored continuously
