The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in front-end development with hands-on experience in SharePoint, specifically in customizing SharePoint Online and On-Premise environments using modern web technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- UI Design and Development: Develop custom, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces for SharePoint sites using SharePoint Designer, PowerApps, and modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- SharePoint Integration: Work with SharePoint site collections, libraries, and lists, ensuring seamless integration of UI components into SharePoint environments.
- Customization and Branding: Customize and brand SharePoint environments according to business needs, ensuring that the design adheres to the company's branding guidelines and enhances the user experience.
- Client-Side Development: Leverage client-side technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular, etc.) to build dynamic, fast-loading, and engaging UI elements.
- Responsive Design: Ensure all SharePoint pages and applications are mobile-responsive and accessible across a wide range of devices and browsers.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business analysts, UX/UI designers, and SharePoint administrators to gather requirements, provide technical input, and ensure solutions meet functional and design specifications.
- Performance Optimization: Implement best practices for performance optimization, including the efficient use of page layouts, scripts, and images.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve front-end technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks related to SharePoint UI elements.
- Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest SharePoint development trends, including new UI capabilities, web technologies, and tools, and share knowledge with the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in front-end web development, with at least 1-2 years focused on SharePoint UI development.
- Strong experience with SharePoint Online (Office 365) and SharePoint On-Premise (2019).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and PowerApps for building custom SharePoint solutions.
- Knowledge of REST APIs for data integration in SharePoint.
- Experience with SharePoint Designer and understanding of workflows, web parts, and site templates.
- UI/UX Skills:
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles, including responsive design, accessibility, and user-centered design.
- Ability to convert wireframes and design concepts into fully functional user interfaces.
- Tools:
- Proficiency with development tools such as Visual Studio Code, SharePoint Designer, and Git.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, PowerShell for SharePoint management tasks, and Office 365 tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- SharePoint certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer) are a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate and Power BI for automation and data visualization integration.
