The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, and leading a team to execute, all marketing plans and strategies for our Commercial Marine portfolio, including event and media products. This includes the International WorkBoat Show, WorkBoat Magazine, WorkBoat.com, Pacific Marine Expo, and NationalFisherman.com. This role demands a hands-on approach, combining strong leadership skills-such as team management and strategic planning-with the capability to engage in detailed, tactical execution as required.

Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Event Director and the sales, conference, and editorial teams to develop and implement strategic marketing plans and a comprehensive marketing calendar for the Commercial Marine portfolio.
- Coordinate with internal teams including Web, Data Analytics, Central Marketing, and Operations to enhance campaign effectiveness, ensure transparency, and foster interdepartmental collaboration.
- Manage time effectively to balance strategy development with the execution of multiple marketing initiatives, continuously refining tactical skills and best practices.
- Lead and support a team of marketers by assigning both short- and long-term tasks and projects, providing constructive feedback to ensure optimal performance and development.
- Foster the growth of team members by sharing best practices, enhancing their market understanding, and advocating for relevant professional development opportunities.
- Analyze market and product data to formulate future strategies and identify new platforms or opportunities to boost brand awareness and drive conversion.
- Ensure a cohesive and strategic brand identity throughout all promotional materials, digital channels, and events for each product line.
- Oversee the development and execution of communication strategies, including email campaigns, direct mail, advertising, web content, and social media.
- Manage the creation of product collateral, such as sales materials, advertising assets, email templates, website designs, promotional materials, and at-show branding.
- Work with the Marketing and Editorial teams to enhance online content visibility and drive traffic to both media and event sites through social media and other channels.
- Report on marketing KPIs to the internal team, keeping the team updated on ongoing and upcoming initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, required.
- 6+ years demonstrated experience in progressive roles in direct marketing strategy and execution.
- The candidate should exhibit excellent leadership, communication, motivation, and administrative capabilities.
- The position requires strong proficiency in copywriting, editing, and design, coupled with robust project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- The candidate must be skilled at strategizing and managing marketing plans and processes effectively.
- They should excel in communicating and collaborating with a team-listening to ideas, articulating strategy, and making adjustments as needed.
- A proven record of people management is essential, demonstrating a practical, collaborative, and empathetic leadership style.
