POSITION OVERVIEW
We're searching for a comms rockstar to join the Grey Communications and Marketing team, based in New York. If you're looking to create conversations that resonate in the creative business, this is for you! The person will be an excellent communicator and writer, a consumer of and participant in culture, and someone who is collaborative. If you like to brainstorm new ideas and build a wide variety of comms programs that live internally and externally across platforms, let's talk.
The role will focus on Grey's studio in New York and work with our global communications team, reporting to the Director of Communications and Chief Communications Officer.

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $125,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal - NY Comms / Culture
- Manage drafting process for NY-focused communications, including emails on behalf of business leads and C-suite
- Partner with team leads to brainstorm People and Culture initiatives across Grey NY, as well as plan and execute internal events and all-agency meetings, including "The Brief," the studio's monthly Town Hall
- On-site management of internal gatherings, leading the roll-out of the programs (start to completion) and partnering with the studio's operations teams (i.e., building management, AV, etc.) as well as the ELT to prepare and finalize run of show, presentations, and more
External - Reputation / Media Relations
- Support Grey's global communications team to elevate the NY's studio reputation for Famously Effective work and creative excellence
- Partner with teams across agency including executives from the creative, strategy, account and production department to create compelling Thought Leadership programs
- Submit to publications awards and shine a light on our people by drafting Grey's submissions - involves timeline management
- Develop and manage Grey's external and internal editorial calendar for all things including social media, lists, people awards and industry events
- Proofread pitches, press releases, awards submissions as well as create media lists and recap reports
Grey's Owned Channels - Global
- Brainstorm relevant and engaging content strategies for social media accounts (i.e. Instagram and LinkedIn) based in partnership with the communications and account teams
- Draft copy to support posts across channels
- Day-to-day account engagement including news cycle monitoring, interaction with community members, and global coordination amongst stakeholders to implement social media campaigns
- Collaborate with NY Design team for a range of programs including big wins and award/jury graphics across all social
- Work with Content Manager on website updates to Grey.com
Internal - Global
- Manage drafting process for global emails on behalf of business leads and C-suite, responsible for distribution via Send Grid technology
- Ensure quality and recency of news and content on our intranet - Go.Grey, work with Team on updates for Website
- Submit to WPP and AKQA newsletter blasts
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 3-5 years prior experience working in a marketing or communications role.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Crisp thinker and communicator - verbally, visually and in writing
- Experience working across multiple levels, time zones, and cultures.
- Ability to deliver across different channels: written copy and multimedia content.
- Must be resourceful and able to deal with ambiguity and last-minute changes.
- Ethical, respectful, and able to deal with confidential and sensitive matters.
- Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, Keynote / Power Point and Teams
- Photography/Video editing and design skills a plus but not required!
