Technical Director

The technical director will act as a crew chief, working directly with the director and production management to ensure the production meets the NFL Networks standards. They also work closely with Engineering to troubleshoot all issues that may occur before or during a production. The TD should coordinate with TOC, audio and other departments to both build, prepare and execute a stage or remote-based show. Duties include operation of Sony XVS 9000, Ross MIRA+, Imagine Communications Layout Designer, DNF Controls, vMIX software, Stream Deck, Solid State Logic SSL.

Salary
$60-$75 USD

Responsibilities
- Follow instructions from directors during productions, such as commands for camera cuts,
- effects, graphics and takes.
- Direct technical aspects of productions, checking and switching between video sources and taking responsibility for the on-air product.
- Act as a liaison between engineering and production departments.
- Test equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Collaborate with other crew positions to determine technical details of productions.
- Set up and execute video transitions and special effects, such as build macros and box effects.
- Ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment and adapt quickly.
- Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of ENPS preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years experience in operating a video switcher in broadcast operations environment including live and pre-taped productions.
- Must have sound technical skills and bring a "can-do" approach to problem solving in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week
- Must be willing to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.
