We're the Audio System Quality team, and we are looking for an audio system quality engineer for advanced audio products like AirPods/AirPods Pro/AirPods Max! You will be a key part of the hardware/software development process and have the opportunity to work closely with firmware/software/hardware teams while we deliver the best audio experience for our customers.

DescriptionThis is a high visibility role where you will drive firmware quality by creating and running tests to ensure the customer experience with Apple products. Our team ensures that the different functional parts of the system are fully tested and quality is built in. You will identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs in automated, structured and open styles of testing.
You will be responsible for verifying key features of one or more products and/or software updates, driving quality within your assigned areas. Your expertise and experience will allow you to analyze field issues and determine gaps in test coverage. In this role, you'll identify and drive key focus areas cross-functionally and collect key performance metrics as part of this effort which will be presented regularly to the executive team.Minimum QualificationsB.S. in an Engineering field3+ years of QA/QE working experience with firmware and/or consumer electronicsPreferred QualificationsB.S. or Masters in Computer Science or Electrical EngineeringDemonstrates QA skills with at least 2 complete consumer electronics product cycles, from inception to first customer shipmentStrong advocate for quality, with good understanding of SQA methodologies & practicesExperience / familiarity with hardware and software interaction for embedded systemsWorking knowledge of Bluetooth protocols and/or audio digital signal processingStrong communication skillsSelf directed, analytical and work well in a large cross-functional environmentAbility to program or script in Python or other significant programming languages. (C++, Objective C, Ruby, JavaScript, etc.)Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
