Job Description:
The Marketing Automation Manager will be responsible for email and text message design, technical implementation and analysis of solutions using the current university marketing automation platform and products (i.e., Marketing Cloud). The incumbent will develop strategic approaches and manage the day-to-day activities of running and adapting automated marketing campaigns.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute email and text campaigns: 60%
Works collaboratively with the Office of Communications and University Relations and adheres to the standards set by the division. Other duties as assigned. 5%
Additional Requirements:
Operation Essential Personnel - This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
Due to the nature of the position and/or responsibilities, in times of emergencies and/or University closures, this position is considered operational essential. It may be required to assist the Office of Communications and University Relations on necessary communications matters in times of crisis, including potentially working in LSUs Emergency Operations Center during those times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience

- Develop and execute the set up of email and text campaigns using Marketing Cloud
- Create and manage the technical set up of customer journeys to engage with our audience at different stages of the enrollment process
- Design and develop email templates that align with our brand standards and enrollment goals
- Monitor campaign performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize future campaigns
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with our overall outreach strategy
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and progress
- Manage data and audience segmentation in Salesforce to ensure campaigns are targeted and relevant
- Configure technical set up to allow for the use of data to inform personalized content and messaging for different segments of our audience
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g. CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
