Overview:

The Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center (SSPAC), a vibrant cultural hub in the heart of Sandy Springs, Georgia, is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Intern to join our marketing team. This position offers hands-on experience in digital marketing for a prominent performing arts venue, with opportunities to network within the arts and entertainment industry.

As the Social Media Intern, you will be instrumental in promoting the Performing Arts Center and its diverse events by creating engaging content, managing a content calendar, and fostering influencer partnerships. This role is perfect for students or recent graduates looking to build their skills in social media strategy, content creation, and influencer marketing. The internship provides flexibility to accommodate academic schedules and may also offer college credit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) to promote events and programs at the Performing Arts Center.
  • Create engaging, creative, and consistent content (photos, videos, graphics) to enhance our online presence.
  • Maintain and manage the content calendar, ensuring regular posting aligned with our branding and promotional schedule.
  • Track and report on social media analytics to measure the success of campaigns and suggest areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop relevant and timely content, highlighting upcoming performances, events, and behind-the-scenes moments.
  • Help establish and maintain partnerships with local influencers and social media personalities to expand the center's digital reach.
  • Stay up to date on social media trends and provide recommendations on emerging platforms and tools.
  • Engage with followers and audiences by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Assist in social media advertising campaigns by drafting copy and selecting creative elements.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn) and social media management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) and video editing skills (a plus).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a creative mindset.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Passion for the performing arts is highly preferred.
