About the Role:
Maxar is seeking a Manager, Internal Communication to join our Westminster, CO-based HR team responsible for developing and executing internal and change management communication strategies. This role will focus on creating, managing, and delivering internal and change management communications to ensure that employees have the necessary information they need to be successful and engaged in their roles. This role will also share Maxar employee experience messaging externally through the management of the TA/Employment Brand Specialist to ensure prospective employees are informed and excited about joining the organization. The Manager, Internal Communications will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Maxar's CEO, CHRO, as well as other executive business and functional leaders and HR team members, to develop effective internal, external and change management communication strategies, plans and campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement internal and change management communications strategies and plans that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
Create and manage content for written internal and change management communications, including newsletters, intranet, email, social, announcements, as well as any other communications.
Be creative by thinking through other communication vehicles and tactics that will resonate with current and prospective employees.
Create and manage content for verbal internal communications, including town halls, As Me Anything's (AMA's), videos, companywide presentations, among others.
Manage the execution of Town Halls, Ask Me Anything's (AMA's) as well as other in-person and virtual internal meetings and conversations.
Act as the voice of both the CEO and CHRO internally on change management and transformational messaging, as well as externally on Talent Acquisition (TA) marketing platforms such as LinkedIn, GlassDoor, among others.
Directly manage a small team providing leadership, mentorship, and vision for success.
Manage the internal communications budget, ROI and track the effectiveness of campaigns.
Collaborate with Human Resources and executive leadership to ensure alignment of internal communications initiatives.
Work with external vendors to create effective internal communications materials.
Monitor internal communications channels for feedback and comments.
Measure and track the effectiveness of internal communications programs.
Lead internal social platform requiring timeline and accurate responses to employee inquiries.
Implement and manage internal communications cloud-based tool while engaging key stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
5 or more years of experience in internal communications, public relations, or related field.
2+ years of experience directly managing or leading a team and working directly with executive leadership, including the CEO level.
Strong knowledge of various internal communications channels, such as digital signage, intranet, email, and social media.
Proficient in internal communications software, including Sharepoint, email platforms and more comprehensive employee experience software tools.
Experience demonstrating strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Able to work under tight deadlines and successfully manage multiple, highly visible initiatives at the same time.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:

Additionally, this position is incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and/or individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions.This position will be posted for a minimum of three business days, and will be posted until a qualified candidate has been identified for hire.
