Position Description

At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Specialist to join the Legrand Data, Power & Control Division in New London, CT, or West Hartford, CT. The Senior Marketing Communication Specialist will identify, plan, and manage various projects within the marketing department. These projects include but are not limited to product launches, marketing campaigns, trade shows, and website updates. Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, within scope, and with cross-functional teams.

In addition, as with all members of the Legrand Team, is expected to promote a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, professionalism, personal awareness, integrity, and exercise confidentiality.

What Will You Do?

  • Develop and execute 360 marketing communication campaigns including public relations, digital marketing, trade show events, digital events, social media, and online media.
  • Works closely with product teams to bring products to market, and coordinates the launch plan and tactic development, including product literature, videos, digital assets, and web pages.
  • Digital marketing: plan and program email marketing campaigns.
  • Social media: Coordinate topics with product marketing and write content that helps to promote and launch campaigns.
  • Event: Execute the overall event plan related to campaigns and launches to achieve strategy and adapt to digital events; webinar.
  • Website: Works closely with the Digital Operations team to manage and update website content for relevant marketing area
  • Works with Marketing Operations to track, benchmark, and analyze campaigns and provide recommendations for optimization based on past performance and future goals.
  • Bring new ideas to the campaign program and other initiatives to support various business unit initiatives.
  • Public Relations: Plan thought leadership campaigns with a PR agency. Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies. Take advantage of article opportunities. Incorporate PR into launch campaigns.
  • Asset creation: Create content of promotional material/marketing materials aligned to brand guidelines. Manages inventory levels and coordinates the production and/or reprinting of print collateral and promotional items as needed.
  • Track results: ROI of all marketing campaigns
  • Manages monthly expenses and tracks budget utilization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications or Marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven work experience in Marketing Communications.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to resolve problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Familiarity with the B2B industry, preferably working with products.
  • Experience with marketing campaigns and execution
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required to interact with Marketing Directors, Divisional Marcom Managers, outside suppliers
  • Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work calmly under pressure, evaluate situations, identify options, and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Requires strong organizational and time management skills, highly oriented, and able to effectively handle multiple projects
  • Must have a strong understanding of Marketing Automation.
  • Up to 15% of travel may be required.
