The Birmingham Barons Marketing Intern will support the marketing department in a wide range of activities designed to promote the team, drive ticket sales, and engage fans both on and off the field. This role is ideal for a highly motivated, high-energy individual eager to learn and grow in the field of marketing and sports. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from content creation to graphic design, website management, social media, and more. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment where every day is different, and no two days are the same. A passion for learning, a strong work ethic, and adaptability are essential to succeed in this role.

Rate Range: $7.25/hour

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean & professional appearance
  • Ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Electronic and computer proficiency
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be available to work a full 40-hour week, including evenings, weekends, and most game days.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Marketing Director to design digital and print materials such as promotional flyers, social media graphics, banners, and event signage.
  • Assist with paid social advertising (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), email marketing campaigns, and data analysis to promote ticket sales, events, and promotions, while evaluating campaign effectiveness.
  • Create engaging content for the Barons social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok.
  • Support the Barons' official website, ensuring content is up-to-date and engaging.
  • Assist with game day and non-game day social media including creating and scheduling content
  • Retouch and edit photos
  • Assisting with tarp pulls when necessary
  • Contribute new and unique ideas to help continue to make Barons Baseball fun
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of promotional materials, fan experiences, and giveaways.
  • Interact with fans before, during and after the games
  • Keeping upbeat atmosphere before, during and after games
  • Perform as mascot at outside events when needed
