About the Team:
As part of the global Marketing organization, the B2B Enterprise Marketing team is responsible for driving business growth in partnership with the product and sales teams of our enterprise businesses: Dow Jones Newswires, Factiva, and Risk & Compliance. The team runs a client centric approach focused on industries and accounts developing and activating strategies and campaigns that drive awareness, build our reputation and deepen relationships in these select industries and accounts.
About the Role:
In this role, you will lead the team responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive thought leadership and content strategy in collaboration with the Industry/ABM Marketing team, subject matter experts across the company and the Digital Marketing team. You will focus on developing content for both our Financial (Banking, Investing, and Payments) and Corporate (Manufacturing, Pharma, Oil & Gas) industries. This content will enrich the experience and boost engagement across web, social, paid media and events. The objective is to drive awareness of Dow Jones' expertise and capabilities, position the company as a trusted partner of choice for enterprise business insights, and drive engagement across decision makers in select accounts. We are shifting to this new industry and account focused model and you will be part of this exciting transformation. We are looking for a passionate, creative, and collaborative Content Marketing Director to support our strategic content initiatives globally.
This role is based in-person in New York, NY, working on-site in our midtown Manhattan office three days a week, reporting to the VP of B2B Digital Marketing.

You Will:
- In partnership with the Financial and Corporate Industry/ABM teams, Product Proposition team, and Digital Marketing, develop and run a global content program that supports the business' objectives, desired identity and build awareness and engagement.
- Build and lead a content team that produces compelling content assets (ie, articles, white papers, case studies, webinars, demos, social media assets, etc.)
- Oversees social media strategy and content development, ensuring content adheres to social media best practices, brand guidelines and learnings.
- Collaborate with the Financial and Corporate Industry Marketers to develop an annual content calendar to ensure the continuous delivery of high value content that resonates with our target audiences and effectively builds a strong reputation for Dow Jones' capabilities, thought leadership and expertise within our target industries and accounts.
- Partner with Regional Marketing Leads to translate and localize content assets, ensuring they resonate regionally.
- Oversee translation and delivery of content assets to select countries.
- Manage internal and external content production processes and partners.
- Collaborate with larger B2B marketing team, creative team and external vendors to create and edit content and monitor its effectiveness over time.
- Partnering with the Industry/ABM Marketing managers run the Client Stories program, producing compelling case studies for selected industries.
- Safeguard quality, brand tone of voice and style across all channels and materials.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and what competitors are doing.
- Coordinate with Communications team regarding Content Calendar and media promotion
You Have:
- Minimum 12 years in a B2B content marketing, industry marketing or communications role targeting Fortune 1000 companies.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; MBA a plus
- Experience in content marketing as part of an Industry Marketing team with ABM-Account Based Marketing approach is preferred
- Experience managing a mix of internal and external resources to accomplish content goals and deliver content calendar
- Experience developing and running in a programmatic way: case study/client references, thought leadership, demos and other product content
- Expert in B2B social media platforms X and LinkedIn and in social media monitoring and reporting tools, such as Sprout Social.
- Deep understanding of organic and paid content distribution channels (e.g, Site, Social, Content Syndication, Events). A point of view on what formats perform best in what channels and what channels are most effective with audiences
- Experience collaborating with Web teams, SEO, and Paid Media to develop content that is SEO optimized and is engaging across digital mediums is a plus
- Ability to conceive original and compelling ideas for new content for a variety of audiences and mediums that appeal to enterprise clients
- Advanced written and verbal communications skills with a strong command of the English language, as well as the ability to write for a global audience. Basic understanding of The Associated Press Stylebook is a plus.
- Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to multitask, prioritize, manage stakeholders at all levels across the business and adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
