We use our deep understanding of client needs to make a positive impact on users’ lives around the world.We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Design to transform how clients engage with and experience Brightly products. In this role, you will craft and implement the design strategy for our product portfolio, driving both client satisfaction and business success. You will lead the Product and Technology teams, guiding them on modern trends, best practices, and compliance with external standards and regulations. Additionally, you will coach, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, championing the voice of the user at every step.What You’ll Be Doing:Stay on top of latest trends in UX design, research, testing, and requirements. Proactively advocate for the adoption of innovations that can enhance product offerings.Define and communicate the design vision and strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the usability of products and features. Use data analytics to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.Collaborate closely with horizontal organizations such as Product Management, Product Ownership, Engineering, and Quality.Directly manage one or more managers. Drive personal and professional growth for the entire Design organization.Develop and own a compelling design roadmap and ability to clearly communicate the expected outcomes/value to the organization.Understand the technology behind the products to have meaningful conversations with Engineers and to assist them in negotiating feasibility as needed.Create, champion, and ensure execution of a design language for all products.Provide guidance and leadership on design-based decisions, including execution of design systems and processes.Advocate and demonstrate the value and importance of great User Experience throughout the organization.Provide coaching and mentoring to the Design organization. The pay range for this position is <$170,000 –$230,000> and the annual incentive target is <20%> of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.What You Need:Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent practical experience 12+ years of experience designing complex enterprise products on a SaaS platform, marketplace, or other software-led product in an agile B2B environment 5+ years leading, mentoring, and growing a team of product designers Portfolio of product design work with evidence of impact at scale Experience defining, building and successfully executing on a design strategy Proven experience building and promoting the product design function at an organization Experience working with qualitative and quantitative user research methods Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Experience in designing Web applications and Mobile apps The Brightly cultureWe’re guided by a vision of community that serves the ambitions and wellbeing of all people, and our professional communities are no exception.
