Paralegal - Creditors' Remedies

Job Description
Everstaff is seeking a Paralegal for a reputable law firm in the Minneapolis area.
This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work from either Minneapolis or St. Cloud, MN.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organizing files for commercial loan enforcement cases
- Conducting legal research on debtor assets, liens, judgments, and financial histories
- Reviewing and analyzing commercial loan documents, contracts, and financial statements
- Examining real estate documents and title commitments
- Assisting attorneys in drafting legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests
- Coordinating with process servers, investigators, and other third parties as necessary
- Assisting in the preparation of commercial foreclosure proceedings
- Monitoring and tracking case deadlines and filing requirements
- Serving as a liaison between attorneys and clients to facilitate communication
- Staying updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting creditors' rights and remedies
- Ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards in all tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience in a legal environment
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, loan officer, credit analyst, or closing agent in commercial loan closings
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software, with the ability to learn new applications
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with staff and external contacts
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and complete assignments efficiently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Capacity to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively for optimal resource use
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances in daily work and trial environments
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and frequent interruptions
- Sound professional and legal judgment, adhering to the ethical standards of the American Bar Association
- Willingness to work over 37.5 hours per week as needed
- Proficient with office equipment, including computers, phones, and copiers
- Ability to sit and perform computer-related activities for extended periods
- Physical capability to handle boxes of documents weighing up to 20 pounds or more
- Valid driver's license for travel to sheriff sales or client meetings
