GENERAL PURPOSE

The Global Product Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies for global single-distribution channel and regional multi-distribution channel large, complex product launches, go-to-market campaigns, and lifecycle management initiatives for the two flagship MillerKnoll brands-Herman Miller and Knoll. Serves as a highly organized and detail-driven project manager who works cross-category, cross-channel and cross-functionally for the success of global product marketing initiatives

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Leads strategy development and manages execution of global single-distribution channel and regional multi-distribution channel large, complex product launches and go-to-market campaigns as part of the new product commercialization process.

  • Manages execution of integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives across multiple distribution channels (Contract, Retail), verticals (enterprise, healthcare, education) and marketing platforms (site, social, CRM, PR, showroom/stores, other experiential/events, etc.) globally.

  • Accountable for the development and ongoing management of launch budgets to both optimize for return on investment and nurture brand health.

  • Leads start-to-finish marketing collateral development for large, complex initiatives from product messaging and positioning to creative briefs, etc., via multi-department, multi-channel coordination.

  • Partners with distribution channel leads, product development, product management, and product marketing category managers to ensure maximized, powerful product launches.

  • Responsible for driving cross-functional strategic alignment and ensuring that channel and functional teams execute against the marketing strategy successfully, while helping identify opportunities to reduce friction and increase efficiencies between teams.

  • Ensures individual product and category campaigns align to overall brand strategy and corporate initiatives, uncovering connections within active work to strengthen go-to-market strategies.

  • Co-Leads with Herman Miller or Knoll Brand Creative teams the development of compelling storytelling to feed brand communication calendar and content drip, and the scoping of photography and editorial needs.

  • Fosters an understanding of the Herman Miller and Knoll worlds-our brands, our people, and our values; and applies these learnings to marketing initiatives.

  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5-7 years professional experience in product or brand Marketing with global experience in B2B/B2C environments.

SKILLS + ABILITIES

  • Highly organized with strong project and time management skills.

  • Thinks brand-first, balanced with keen category foresight and willingness to embrace the large, complex global and regional product launches with excellence.

  • Capable of managing multiple global and regional product launches across matrixed departments, leadership levels, distribution channels, and geography with influence.

  • Displays analytical and creative ability to translate complex development ideas and technical input into customer-facing content.

  • Comfortable with quickly understanding, filtering, and consolidating input for concise, effective decision making.

  • Thinks and plans big picture but executes with an eye for detail and excellence across all touchpoints.

  • Ability to travel as needed to achieve business objectives (<10% of time).
