Senior Manager, SEO

ActiveCampaign, Chicago, IL

As Senior Manager, SEO, you'll contribute to increasing ActiveCampaign's overall traffic, free trials, conversions, and new business from organic search. You'll provide technical and international guidance for ActiveCampaign's website, identify opportunities to scale organic business (particularly non-brand organic), execute on those recommendations, and manage reporting for organic search.

You'll be joining a team that creates all types of content from blog posts and webinars to email communications, landing pages, and other content for the ActiveCampaign website. Your role will be executional - you'll work closely with our site and content teams to make recommendations, but will also roll up your sleeves and get down to business yourself.

What your day could consist of:
    • Identify opportunities for technical improvements across the ActiveCampaign website
    • Identify and execute on opportunities to scale non-brand organic traffic to ActiveCampaign
    • Maximize performance of editorial/glossary content, to improve traffic to high-converting content
    • Work on scaled, pseudo-programmatic search projects/free tools targeted at non-brand search
    • Provide international SEO guidance, ensuring good search experiences in languages other than English
    • Provide guidance on site architecture and navigation, for improvements to user experience and search performance
    • Report on the performance of search-based projects on an ongoing basis, with an emphasis on course correction, identifying new opportunities to grow, and share of search in the market as a whole

What is needed:
    • 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5+ years dedicated to SEO
    • Experience with technical and international SEO
    • Experience with CMS migration, page consolidation/redirects, and on-page performance
    • Proficiency with tools like Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Looker
    • Reporting skills. The ability to tell a story about data and the effects of organic programs on the business, rather than read off traffic numbers or keyword reports.
    • Experience with Craft CMS is preferred
