OVERVIEW Movement Strategy is seeking an Associate Design Director to lead a team of creatives doing best-in-class social-led creative for our Amazon Home, Fashion and Flagship accounts. You will work closely with the Head of Creative to expertly use design to exceed client goals, help with new business, and manage a team of eager designers. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the digital and social media space-and redefining the model for editorialized social content created by brands.
We are looking for someone with agency experience working on large brands, and experience overseeing tactical design executions to directly leading conceptual and operational design challenges on high-volume clients.

SALARY & COMPENSATION
In compliance with local and state law, we are disclosing the compensation for roles that will be performed in New York City, Colorado, and California. The range listed is just one component of Movement Strategy's total compensation package for employees. Individual compensation varies based on location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, years of relevant experience, qualifications, and certifications or other professional licenses held. Movement Strategy prides itself on providing competitive salaries and actively works to ensure there is pay equity across the company.
Pay Range: 110-125k salary per year

RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Associate Design Director, you'll work closely with client teams to elevate design and look and feel, create, and shepherd through content. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Spearhead efficient ways of working, new tool recommendations/integration and external digital production management in collaboration with relevant cross-functional departments.
- Oversee static and video content creation and leading the design team ideating for multiple social channels including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Execute and manage conceptual and visually compelling design work in line with agency and brand standards.
- Conceptualizing on larger, campaign-level ideas and content.
- Pitching digital editorial content.
- Lead brainstorming sessions as needed with creative team.
- Address and implement feedback with direct reports.
- Inspire and mentor creatives while empowering them to elevate the standards and quality of their work.
- Manage a large quantity of monthly content from conception to production.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7-8 years of relevant experience (ideally in an agency setting) with at least 2 years management experience.
- Strong design thinking skills applicable to digital, social and video content.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and Cloud-based design tools such as Adobe Express, Figma or Canva.
- Experience with After Effects and Premiere is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of emerging social platforms and trends.
- Knowledge of the full creative process including video content creation.
- Ability to oversee work from idea to execution and distribution.
- Proficiency with problem solving and project management leadership skills.
- Passion for home interior is a major plus.
