As the Director of Marketing Strategy, you'll take a leadership role in the Stand Together Integrated Marketing and Communications Team, reporting to the Managing Director of Marketing Strategy. You'll be responsible for leading the development and delivery of comprehensive short, medium, and long-term marketing strategies that advance and accelerate organizational and brand objectives. Your success will rely on your ability to successfully collaborate with experts and stakeholders across the Stand Together community to gather input, gain consensus, and develop critical milestones and measurable goals that drive audience engagement and leverage "seize the moment" opportunities. As a leader on the team, you will be the primary point of contact for key stakeholders and the driver of execution for marketing strategies. This role leads the marketing strategy for our highest priority national advocacy campaigns across multiple issue areas.

Your Responsibilities Include:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies that inform tactical plans aligned to organizational and brand priorities and advance defined objectives.
- Partner with insight and analysis teams to identify and scope audiences and messages. Interpret and apply findings into product and marketing efforts.
- Identify and develop content/engagement opportunities that shape the end-to-end audience journey in partnership with brand and content teams.
- Develop investment proposals for marketing campaigns that employ sound decision-making framework and testing/experimentation methodologies where appropriate.
- Monitor market landscape and audience changes/trends and adjust plans as needed
- Communication And Collaboration:
- Develop communication touchpoints with key stakeholders to ensure an effective two-way flow of knowledge and feedback that best supports, and advances defined objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape the final marketing product, translating insights into innovative and agile solutions that solve problems effectively.
- Liaise with agency partners where appropriate, including SOW development, project briefings, expectation management and results monitoring.
- Leadership:
- Drive team alignment around marketing strategies and activations by promoting a clear and inspiring vision.
- Model a leadership style that conveys confidence and gains respect from others, keeping leaders informed about key issues and elevating gaps/opportunities when appropriate.
- Operate as a champion for the organizational culture which includes modeling and applying our guiding principles in business and interpersonal interactions and inspiring others to do the same.
- Participate in the strategic development and planning of Marketing Communication team enhancements and opportunities when required.
- Reporting And Analysis:
- Partner with the intelligence and capabilities teams to develop qualitative and quantitative KPIs that effectively measure the impact and success of marketing strategies and activations.
- Establish and implement tracking, analysis and reporting of results and critical learnings for quarterly assessments.
Knowledge and Skills You Bring to the Organization:
- 12+ years of professional experience in marketing or related fields, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
- Proven success in translating organizational vision and high-level objectives into strategic and actionable integrated marketing plans with clear goals and KPIs that accurately measure effectiveness and progress.
- Demonstrated experience understanding of the needs of different audience/stakeholder segments and developing appropriate and innovative marketing products and communication strategies.
- A proven leader and team player, with the experience in inspiring and collaborating with cross-functional teams in support of shared business priorities while positively influencing the work of peers without direct reporting accountability.
- A track record of success founded in developing strong relationships with key internal/external partners and senior level stakeholders within complex and matrixed organizational structures with alignment and support for high impact decisions.
- Experience in engaging, coaching, and developing high-performance teams to achieve impactful results and promoting an environment where everyone is valued and included.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- A highly organized approach with a proven ability to deliver on tight deadlines and work within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- Experience in grassroots, advocacy, or legislative marketing preferred but not required.
- Exposure to agency relations (as a client or agency representative) and experience in understanding on how and when to seek external/vendor support to expand capabilities and increase impact.
