About the Role
This role will lead and grow our Influencer and Social Strategy practice at Ogilvy Health. Our Senior Vice Presidents significantly contribute to the agency's overall performance and revenues, identify and develop new business opportunities and serve as a valued leader and resource for clients and client account teams. They exemplify and manage achievement of the agency's vision, values and management philosophies. They are responsible for working closely with senior agency resources, PR and marketing stakeholders to plan large-scale client specific programs. Senior Vice Presidents are also exceptional leaders of teams who inspire others.
Our influencer work has grown at a fast pace over time. Client demand, potential for growth and huge amounts of integrated opportunities makes this a great time to add an expert to lead the Influencer & Social function.
This role requires an all-around senior strategist with depth and expertise in business, social and influencer operations, with a strong understanding of how brands grow in the Social Age. You have experience from multiple categories, and across brands in different stages of growth. And you are also a true social-first subject matter expert. The role requires an experienced practitioner who can answer technical questions but also have depth of knowledge to have meaningful client interactions in an impactful way.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. $100,000 - $230,000 USD

What You'll Do
- Be the "go-to" thought leader and expert in integration of social and influencer strategy and engagement planning
- Lead a market-level large social team and partner directly with client market leads
- Create synergies between social and other disciplines: PR & Influence, Customer Engagement & Commerce, Data & Analytics, and Media
- Lead innovation and implementation of key strategic frameworks in social and influencer strategy with the ability to develop end-to-end solutions with social at heart
- Oversee quality and development of creative (concept) briefs and briefings as well as asset briefs to meet modern marketing needs
- Enable ongoing education and training of agency teams and serve as an ambassador with social and influencer platforms
- Participate in pitches as necessary. Advocate for the role of social in the broader marketing communication mix
- Formulate and make recommendations regarding client business strategy
- Can hold presentations that go beyond marketing leadership and into C-suite level
- Nurture and grow key senior health client relationships by being a trusted advisor to senior client management and working as an objective insider and advocate for the entire client organization
- Support and/or manage client P&L, business growth and operating target margins. Lead efforts to develop and achieve company revenue and profitability projections. Forecast client revenue on assigned account(s) and projects.
- Search for organic new business growth and identify new business opportunities
- Have a strong diversity agenda everywhere: when hiring, when developing people, when recommending partners and influencers
- Develop professional and management skill of team members. Provide ongoing feedback and training opportunities for team. Work closely with HR on performance reviews and goal setting for team.
What You'll Need
- 10 years of influencer and social programming within an agency or agency adjacent environment
- Experience leading teams
- Proven successful collaboration with complex teams
- Experience in developing influencer and social programming across multiple sectors
- Experience in pitching and retaining influencer and social clients
- Proven portfolio of partnerships, vendors and key technologies
- Elevated understanding of data analytics, paid social, organic social, social commerce, creative campaigns and activations, and earned media
- Effective written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical skills. Ability to interpret ongoing research and media reports, guide and partner with social media experts to inform communications recommendations.
- Diplomatic and empathic leadership. Passionate about inspiring and mentoring teams.
