About the Role

The Company is seeking a talented Director of Marketing and Communications to lead and enhance all internal and external communications efforts. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to manage a dynamic team and develop impactful communication strategies that effectively inform the community about the organization’s initiatives and achievements.

You will partner closely with staff and external agencies to highlight key stories, design and execute media relations plans, and actively engage with local and regional media, ensuring that the organization’s message resonates well with the public. Your responsibilities will include supporting media relations activities, creating and organizing diverse communication materials, and serving as a strategic communications advisor to management.

Ideal candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a combination of experience in communications, marketing, and journalism. We require a minimum of 2 years as the primary communications leader within an organization or a total of 7 years in communications and/or marketing, including at least 3 years as a journalist in a major media market.

Key qualifications include strong writing, editing, and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and a detail-oriented, professional, and creative approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential. Experience supervising a team and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish are highly preferred.
