We're looking for a Senior Content Strategist to join our crew here at Big Spaceship on a QSR client. We're looking for a Senior Content Strategist to join our crew here at Big Spaceship on a QSR client. The ideal candidate for this position is well-rounded, with strong social strategic sensibilities, a creative flair, a passion for innovative Social Media, and a proactive spirit to make great work.
Roles + Responsibilities:
- Define and implement social and content strategies for the overall brand and specific projects.
- Lead social content creation from ideation to execution, owning content lifecycle workstreams at every point
- Function as the main point person leading organic content efforts, with support from Program Management, Account Management, Strategy & Creative
- Provide strategic guidance on supporting campaigns with paid media
- Concept and collaborate on strategically-led creative ideas, including leading in brainstorms, assistance in the construction of concepts and contributing to campaign-based creative
- Able to evolve creative ideas through intricate knowledge of the Social Media landscape, developments, platforms, formats, and best practices
- Ability to professionally and enthusiastically communicate and collaborate with team and clients
- Manage content calendar and planning
- Manage creators and creator-led content through concept, briefing, execution, feedback, and delivery
- Inject Internet culture into every element of the work from proactive and pre-planned to reactive and in-the-moment including tracking, identifying, and ideating against emerging trends
- Able to derive insights and recommendations from community insights
- Able to bring content ideas to life through the identification of insights, development of concept, copy, and visual thought starters, including assembling the team for proactive brainstorms and running with the outcome of the brainstorm to build social content and concepts
- Communication of creative strategies and ideas to senior members of our internal team, clients, and partners
- Writing and publishing content across various Social Media platforms
- Deliver Social Media content and ad hoc day-to-day activities
- Navigating, tracking against, and optimizing for complex approval processes
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional Social Media experience. Agency preferred.
- A clear understanding of the Social Media marketing space, an ongoing passion for Social Media trends and innovation
- Experience creating branded content and campaigns across social networks, including but not limited to Instagram, X (fka Twitter), Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reddit
- Professional experience in the QSR (Quick Service Retail) space is a plus.
- Strong creative and professional writing skills, particularly short-form content
- Experience performing social listening and community management
- Experience collaborating with content creators on the development of social-first video
- Deck-building and presentation skills
- Experience with Google Docs, Slides, Sheets
- Experience with Social Media publishing programs (i.e. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, SproutSocial)
- Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Express
- Comfort with social video capture and editing
