Senior Video Producer

Position Overview:

The Chicago Bulls video team (also known as BullsTV) is the in-house, video production arm within the Bulls Content Department that produces and edits original video content for Bulls distribution channels. This team strives to create first-class, compelling content that advances Bulls fandom, gives a unique insight to the team and contributes to overall business objectives.

The Senior Video Producer will lead many aspects of video production work, and will work alongside a team of experienced shooters and editors crafting industry-leading digital video content. This person will help bring engaging and compelling stories to life for distribution primarily through the Chicago Bulls digital platforms - one of the largest audiences in American team sports.

This position will take a leading role in managing a team of talented producers and ensure that envisioned storylines and aims are pulled through in the content we produce.

As the content landscape continually evolves, we are looking for a natural storyteller who is able to identify and execute on creative storytelling opportunities in ways that are compelling for our fans - this will include ideation around longform storytelling, shortform bites and day-to-day team and game coverage. The Senior Video Producer will collaborate with the social media publishing team, Marketing and other departments to ensure delivery of high performing video content in all areas of the business. Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise our production team, ensuring efficient workflows and maintaining the highest standards of storytelling in a diverse set of projects
  • Be responsible for working across departments to determine storytelling goals and objectives. Lead team responsible for then delivering upon said objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of production: logistics, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, location scouting, and equipment management.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the production team, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Contribute to brainstorm and lead video execution of branded content for both organic and paid media campaigns. Collaborate with digital partnerships team and partnership marketing teams to set clear goals and aims and then lead the video team tasked with delivering on these aims.
  • Collaborate with several departments to develop creative concepts for long-form content production, such as episodic content, or in-depth features that provide an immersive experience taking advantage of the unique access we have as the team.
  • Manage the video production of paid marketing campaigns related to ticket sales and other organizational wide initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in video production, implementing innovative approaches to enhance the team's video content.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in telling in-depth & compelling stories through differentiated styles of video content.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and focus on multiple projects being developed concurrently.
  • Understand of industry trends and ways to engage an audience through video content.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and guiding content creatives.
  • Flexibility in an unpredictable environment of an NBA season and a focus on innovation through the ups and downs of team performance.
  • Focus on collaborating with people from different backgrounds & roles; ability to communicate with and work with multiple departments to achieve organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience in on-set video production including use of cinema equipment, professional audio and lighting
  • Strong work ethic and highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Effective and quick decision-making in a dynamic environment.
  • This role requires flexible work hours and may include work outside of normal office hours during the business week and on weekends.
