Marketing/Public Relations Director

The Marketing/Public Relations Director will oversee, coordinate, and participate in the development of marketing strategies and products for the organization. Will help to create and promote the corporate identity and mission to customers, the public, and employees through the creation and distribution of brochures, news releases, and other documents.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees and in accordance with company policy.
- Directs and implements the organization's advertising and promotional activities.
- Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
- Identifies new market segments that will benefit from company products.
- Through public-facing communication, develops and maintains a positive public image for the organization
- Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
- Composes, reviews, and/or distributes press releases and other public-facing communication.
- Maintains knowledge on emerging products and services.
- Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
- Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the department's operating budget.
- Oversees and produces, from concept to completion, a broad array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials for the organization.
- Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand.
- Plans, prepares, and distributes original promotional content such as articles, news and press releases, email, blog and social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required.
- At least five years of experience in marketing and long-range planning preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
