About Us: Fisica is a fast-growing company with three separate business units located in the Bay Area and Los Angeles Basin. We provide electromagnetic simulators, and ground and airborne antennas for the department of energy and department of defense applications. Recently formed from a recent divestiture of a large defense company, we are looking for a high energy, technically savvy individual to fulfill a key role for the new organization.
Position Summary: The Communications Manager will oversee all aspects of marketing and internal communications. This role is critical in shaping the company's public image, managing brand reputation, and ensuring clear, consistent messaging across all channels. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of communication strategies, exceptional writing skills, and experience with social media. This role will report to the HR Director

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is 96,500-179,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Fisica Inc. also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), PTO, EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, and schedule type.
9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure messaging supports business strategies and enhances brand reputation.
- Marketing Communications:
- Lead the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content marketing, and public relations.
- Manage the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, press releases, newsletters, and website content.
- Oversee social media strategy and content, ensuring alignment with brand voice and objectives.
- Internal Communications:
- Develop and maintain internal communication strategies to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Create and distribute internal newsletters, announcements, and other communication materials.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to support employee engagement initiatives and internal events.
- Content Development:
- Write, edit, and proofread content for various communication channels, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Develop thought leadership content, including white papers, articles, and presentations, to position the company as an industry leader.
- Media Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts.
- Serve as the company's spokesperson, managing media inquiries and interviews.
- Prepare and coach company representatives for media engagements.
- Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on communication performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a communications role, with a focus on both marketing and internal communications.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating a range of content.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and experience developing and executing social media strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with content management systems and website management. I'd say these two are a must.
- Background in graphic design or multimedia content creation.
- Experience managing media relations and serving as a company spokesperson.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of crisis communication best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
- Experience in the technology, defense, or government contracting sectors, specifically related to radio frequency, antenna, or radar technologies.
- Experiencing developing and implementing crisis communication plans.
- Manage communication during crises to protect the company's reputation and maintain public trust.
