About the Role:
The Director of Marketing & Product Development will play a pivotal role in managing the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for new product launches, overseeing product commercialization, and ensuring that marketing strategies align with business objectives. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration across departments to ensure successful product positioning, market entry, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Launch Strategy
  • Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product introductions, ensuring they align with business goals and market demands.
  • Collaborate with Research & Development to translate product features and differentiators into compelling value propositions.
  • Oversee product commercialization plans, managing timelines, budgets, resources, and performance metrics (KPIs).
  • Drive marketing efforts in product positioning, pricing, and promotional strategies, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels to maintain a competitive edge.
Market Research & Analysis
  • Conduct detailed market research to identify opportunities for new products, assess customer needs, and track industry trends.
  • Gather and analyze customer insights and feedback to influence product development and positioning.
  • Use data from pilot launches and competitive analysis to refine GTM strategies and improve future product rollouts.
  • Identify market entry barriers and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring product launch success.
Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales to develop integrated marketing campaigns that drive product awareness, generate demand, and support revenue goals.
  • Provide the Sales team with the necessary tools and training to effectively sell new products.
  • Work closely with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product production, inventory planning, and delivery logistics.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams to ensure all product introductions meet regulatory requirements and financial targets.
Partnership & Channel Development
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and distribution channels to accelerate product market entry.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, resellers, and third-party partners to expand product reach.
  • Regularly evaluate the performance of partnerships and distribution channels, adjusting to optimize results.
Post-Launch Evaluation & Optimization
  • Track and analyze product performance post-launch using key metrics such as sales growth, market share, and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously refine GTM strategies based on feedback and performance metrics to optimize product lifecycle management.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to the Product Development team for future enhancements or product iterations.
Team Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of market development professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Set key performance metrics (KPIs) for the team, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to support professional development.
  • Encourage creative problem-solving and innovative approaches to optimize product launch outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Product Management, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in product marketing, market development, or product management, with a focus on new product launches.
  • Proven success in developing and executing effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Strong experience in product positioning, market development, and brand strategy within the marketing space.
  • Expertise in market research, competitive analysis, and financial modeling to support product positioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage large-scale projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with Sales, Product Development, Marketing, and Operations teams to launch and commercialize products.
  • Ability to travel as needed for product launches and business development initiatives.
