We're looking for a full-time Senior Marketing Specialist, Program & Construction Management (PMCM) Infrastructure to join our team. This position works proactively to support business development, help build client relationships and work with various teams to create winning proposal submissions/presentations and communications in the pursuit of specific project opportunities to achieve PMCM financial and market leadership goals. Role Overview

Reporting directly to Marketing Manager, PMCM, the Senior Marketing Specialist PMCM (Infrastructure) provides marketing leadership and support to the Program and Construction Management (PMCM) team and Infrastructure Leadership by communicating and ensuring an understanding of the strategic direction for PMCM. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, meet aggressive deadlines, and prepare designed-to-win proposals and engaging presentations.

The role also includes working with a larger Stantec team of Marketing, Business Development, Public Relations, and Communications professionals to build our brand awareness and identify market opportunities for top line growth.

Your Key Responsibilities

Business Development/Account Management/Proposal Development:
  • Works closely with the PMCM Marketing Manager as well as PMCM and Business Line/Sector Leadership to support, facilitate, and provide direction to support Stantec's corporate and PMCM goals for revenue growth, profitability, and market leadership in our selected target markets.
  • Play a key role in developing specific strategies for client and related event coordination, project opportunity / lead tracking, and major or multi-disciplinary proposals in support of Account Managment.
  • Lead and support PMCM top pursuit execution at the local level, partnering with marketing teams through delivery of all aspects related to the proposal process including workflow coordination, marshalling resources (e.g., subject matter expert, external consultants, and related internal contributors), implementing process improvements, applying effective project management skills for complex project pursuits, anticipating likely risks, putting mitigation plans in place, technical content and quality control.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of Stantec's markets, clients, capabilities, staff, and primary competitors to support the development of pursuits as identified in the marketing and business development plans.
  • Work with the regional marketing team and pursuit leaders/business developers to support cross-promotion of Stantec's various service offerings, where opportunities for the delivery of integrated services exist.
  • Collaborate with the Public Relations and Digital Marketing team on key pursuits, marketing campaigns, presentations, and other promotional activities in alignment with the Stantec brand.
  • Work closely with technical project managers to create compelling messages that set our firm apart from the pack.
  • Serve in a quality control capacity during the preparation and review of proposal materials developed by the marketing team with specific emphasis on brand alignment, relevance, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Facilitate debrief meetings following project wins/losses.

Brand Management/Promotions:
  • Work with the PMCM Marketing Manager to help manage the implementation of the approved promotional plan and approved marketing plans and budget using a mix of marketing tools including advertising, client events, media, community investment, professional and business associations and events, social media, conferences/tradeshows, and others as defined.
  • Work closely with members of the Corporate Communications team, and function as a key contact for marketing communications information on behalf of PMCM.
  • Work closely with Manager, Visual Communication Design, and function as a key contact for marketing photography services on behalf of the PMCM; including but not limited to advance documentation, e.g., client permission, Project Profiles, detailed photography requirements, and site accompaniment.
  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary events, including tradeshows, conferences, ceremonies, and publicity engagements, as appropriate.

Marketing System Support/Leadership:
  • Ensure appropriate PMCM representation across multiple regions through development and coordination of content for Stantec's communications systems/tools including the Stantec Marketing Knowledge Center (SMKC), Stantec Pipeline, stantec.com, and The Lens.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager as a champion and user-expert to ensure the consistent use of the Stantec Pipeline in support of account management and business development efforts.
  • Work with PMCM and Business Line/Sector Leadership to ensure the strategic pursuits are recorded, updated, and reported as required by Leadership.
  • Ensure all information entered the system is timely, accurate and up-to-date and in adherence with Stantec standards and Style guide.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities & Credentials
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of marketing and business development best practice
  • Detail oriented and organized, with exceptional prioritization skills
  • Ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities
  • Commitment to client service and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with web-based tools and Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Working knowledge in the use of desktop publishing software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
  • Strong presentation skills in small or large group environments, with proficiency in presentation support tools (e.g., PowerPoint)
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management, supervisors, peers, and clients, internally and externally
  • Ability to work effectively within a group as well as independently motivated with minimal supervision
  • Awareness that ongoing training may involve professional development courses in the evenings or on weekends

Education and Experience
  • Post-Secondary in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or an equivalent level of experience
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a marketing role in a medium to large sized organization

Salary Range(s):
  • $41.68 - $60.48 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in WA
  • Other CA Areas $41.68 - Other CA Areas $60.48 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CA (SF Area includes SF, SJS & WLC)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.

Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
