Join us and transform the lives of patients while transforming your career.CDnA - Director, Marketing Science OperationsWhat you will doAmgen’s Data Sciences team within the Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) department is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of MarSci Operations to lead our technology and data science initiatives, ensuring our teams are equipped with the best tools and processes to drive impactful outcomes.The Director of Marketing Sciences Operations will be responsible for managing the technology platforms that support our data science teams and ensuring the seamless execution of our media and marketing strategies. The successful candidate is a strategist with a strong technical background who can collaborate across departments and with external partners to enhance our capabilities so Amgen can achieve a competitive edge in the market.This is a hybrid position in either Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL offices, expected to be in office 3 times a week.Key Responsibilities: Technology Management:Oversee and manage technology platforms that facilitate day-to-day operations for data science teams, including clean rooms, digital reporting, media hubs, and digital applications.Ensure platforms are optimized for efficiency, security, and scalability to meet the evolving needs of the organization.Collaboration and Strategic Evaluation:Collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners to continuously assess new technology developments and trends.Lead initiatives to price, maintain, and evolve internal capabilities, ensuring the department is strategically positioned to capitalize on first mover opportunities while effectively managing the lifecycle of internal solutions.Digital Reporting Solutions:Manage all digital automated reporting solutions for media investments towards healthcare professionals (HCP) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) tactics.Ensure that reporting processes are streamlined, accurate, and actionable to drive informed decision-making.Vendor Relations Management:Establish and manage relationships with media publishers, data providers, measurement partners and other technology vendors.Implement processes to monitor vendor performance and address any issues proactively.Data Pipeline and Automation Development:Build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines and automation processes to increase team efficiency and improve data quality.Drive initiatives that leverage data to enhance operational processes and support business objectives.What we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The innovative professional we seek is a collaborative leader with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 4 years of data engineering and/or data science experienceOrMaster’s degree and 8 years of data engineering and/or data science experienceOrBachelor’s degree and 10 years of data engineering and/or data science experienceIn addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 4 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced abovePreferred Qualifications:Experience leading data engineering teams.Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).Knowledge of marketing technology stacks and digital media analytics.Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data storage solutions.Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline frameworks.Knowledge of compliance standards and best practices in data privacy and security.Pharmaceutical and/or healthcare related experienceProven record on building, and developing high performing teamsWhat you can expect of usAs we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
