Job Description

Communication Planning is how our brand approaches our customers, determining how, when, and where to intersect with their worlds. As part of the Integrated Marketing Communications team, Communication Planners work tirelessly to bridge the gap between the business, our internal stakeholders and our customers by representing their voices throughout our communications. With the help of analytics and marketing technology, we identify audience priorities and craft messages that guide our audiences through every step of their journeys from dreaming to doing. With our Channel & Creative partners, we architect omni-channel plans that fuel our brand. And we inspire the creation of content that drives business results.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Communication Strategy and Planning
  • Lead Communication Strategy for campaigns, focused on deepening relationships with specific audiences and move them through the consumer journey phases
  • Adapt segment and communication strategies into channel-level tactical plans that clearly communicate the 'why' and 'what' to the channel teams for planning, execution and performance optimization
  • Translate the audience journey and align channel strategies and digital touchpoints to bring the journey to life with brand interactions across Paid, Owned and Earned channels
  • Distill audience insights into motivators and barriers to identify proper messages to deliver the optimal audience journey by tactic
  • Continually monitor, test and evolve the audience segment journey as needed to drive compounding efficiency and effectiveness to deliver on business goals

Content and Creative Strategy
  • Bring to life integrated marketing campaigns by using creative briefs and campaign planning documents to identify proper messages by channel and tactic
  • Proactively recommend content that builds audience and drives revenue
  • Organize and lead Action Workshops, brainstorms, and tactical work sessions in the development of integrated communication plans
  • Leverage channel KPIs to drive overall media/communications effectiveness/efficiency and continually monitor, test and evolve the audience segment journey as needed to drive compounding efficiency and effectiveness to deliver on business goals across Paid, Owned and Earned channels

Project Execution
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Project Management and Creative teams to define scope of work for campaigns & tactics and ensure high-quality work
  • Be detail oriented and accountable to prevent multiple rounds of changes and keep the project moving towards completion even when facing aggressive schedules or last-minute developments
  • Continuously keep Leadership and partners informed of campaign updates, changes, and issues. Accountability to project stakeholders and segment leaders is crucial for ensuring the successful execution and delivery of projects


Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required; majors in Media, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or other related field preferred
  • 4+ years in the consumer goods, entertainment, travel or theme park industry preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and conceptually
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence others at all organizational levels (from junior to executive levels) and demonstrated ability to work directly with internal departments towards issue resolution
  • Strong track record meeting targets and objectives while working in a deadline orientated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a large volume of complex work effectively and efficiently while paying attention to details
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of consumer and brand research
  • Digital and technical savvy, including experience working on web/app, CRM, social media initiatives Ability to quickly learn new technologies, applications and processes though proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and in Adobe Creative Suite is recommended. Workfront experience is a plus
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays to assist with event execution inside the theme park or CityWalk as needed
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change to full-time as required.
