Whether you\'re a journalist, trade publication writer, or have experience within a credit union, your expertise will make a difference. Under the direction of the Vice President of Communications, the Internal Communications Manager has a variety of roles in Summit\'s internal communications. The Internal Communications Manager is responsible for building engagement with our brand and purpose primarily among employees. The incumbent is part internal journalist, curious and passionate about illuminating the things that make employees proud to work here and align with our service philosophy. The Internal Communications Manager provides planning and support to leaders for employee-facing communication strategies and channels. They support strategic communications initiatives, crisis communication planning and corporate communication message development. Expected Outcomes Seeks clarity on communication objectives, synthesizes key messages, identifies intended audience, recommends effective communication vehicles, determines cadence and uses analytics to assess impact. Develops communications that build strong understanding and connection to our mission, vision, purpose, values, culture and Essential Behaviors. The Internal Communications Manager has a unique opportunity to contribute to change management strategies and ensure the \"why\" is included and reinforced in multiple ways. Cultivates strong relationships with leaders throughout the credit union evidenced by well-developed executive leader communications to build trust, foster a sense of belonging, employee engagement, promote change and excellence in service to our membership. CEO communications content calendar is well-managed and includes topics relevant to the credit union movement, Summit\'s history, philosophy, member service, target market, business objectives, and culture. In service to Summit members and its employees, t exhibits a deep understanding of the credit union movement and cooperative history, leverages partnership with credit union associations to stay apprised of trends impacting the industry, and creates communications that advance credit union advocacy efforts. Capability Requirements Undergraduate degree in communication or journalism, or applicable experience. Five years\' experience writing in or about the financial services industry, either in a financial institution or for a publication on the financial services industry Five years\' experience working with leaders at all levels of an organization in key communications role.
