Job Summary: This position maintains clear communication for Calvary Chapel Academy ensuring brand consistency to parents, administration, and the church through various communication channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Research and keep up to date on current trends in marketing and advertising (Psalm 90:17) • Develop a marketing strategy to promote the school to the community, highlighting CCA’s core value propositions of faith, education, fine arts, athletics, and lifestyle • Work with yearbook advising • Supervise over the CCA graphics • User Research to develop user personas for prospective and current families • Define, measure, analyze, and refine current/future marketing processes and KPI’s (key performance indicators) for CCA • Contribute new ideas and creative solutions through inspired copywriting/editing that supports the continual evolution of the school though marketing efforts (1 Thessalonians 5:11) • Responsible for managing the User Experience of all customers facing “products” for CCA by gathering feedback from users, developing solutions for prospective problems, and managing the execution of getting those solutions to completion (John 13:34-35) • Develop strategic business partnerships within the community to help promote and grow the mission of CCA • Maintain CCA Website • Create forms for various events • Communicate through available channels ways to market and involve the church congregation with school events highlighting CCA’s value to community from an education and ministerial standpoint and by leveraging the natural relationship the school has with the church (Philippians 2:4) • Build bridges between CCA and the church that drive opportunities for ministry as well as increasing admissions (Romans 14:19) • Manage content and communication for the school through both current and future social media platforms (1 Chronicles 29:17) o Create content that is relevant to CCA audience (prospective and current) o Manage Social Media calendar for CCA social platforms o Develop strategy and have understanding of how to best leverage each platform to engage current customers and attract new ones • Create video, digital, and print content to be used through various channels for CCA events, forms and marketing materials, promotions, social media, and website content • Manage school newsletter (Proverbs 16:3) • Gather content about upcoming events, deadlines, or stories highlighting CCA student/faculty achievements ensuring layout, theme, and design is consistent with branding for CCA and various events each month • Maintain CCA communication guidelines for brand identity through all media (digital and print graphics) across all communication channels • Must be flexible with hours in order to attend various CCA functions and events • Provide photography for various school events and functions • Manage Basecamp boards for school communications and graphics following established procedures • Responsible for managing the User Experience of all customers facing “products” for CCA by gathering feedback from users, developing solutions for prospective problems, and managing the execution of getting those solutions to completion (1 Corinthians 14:40) • Maintain information on prospective families, including recording and tracking of all calls and contacts relating to admissions (Colossians 3:23) • Respond to information requests • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Colossians 3:23)
Job Skills and Competencies: • Effective written and verbal communication skills (Colossians 4:6) • Some knowledge of general education practices • Marketing and Advertising experience preferred • Experience in process flow and integration • Computer skills (1 Peter 4:10) o Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite software specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Software, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint o Know and effectively use Microsoft Outlook • Comfortable speaking to small and large groups • Understand the importance of discernment, discretion and confidentiality in the operation of the school
