Who We're Seeking

You are a driven team player who will act as a critical link between engineering development and the successful definition and execution of Qvest's business strategy. You will be responsible for providing well-informed tech insights and expertise that shape our strategic direction, unlocking new opportunities to grow the business, and overseeing coordinated delivery of all technology projects within your segment. You will serve as a critical member of the Broadcast leadership team and work with peers in other business functions and segments to develop technology strategy, prioritize development efforts, and successfully bring our audio and image offerings to market.

Responsibilities
    • Influence the business strategy of Qvest by staying abreast of emerging technology trends that could impact Qvest technology use cases and opportunities in your segment
    • Provide a credible point of view on the future technology landscape to the Entertainment leadership team; translate to specific opportunities that should shape Qvest's Broadcast strategy over the next 3 -5 years
    • Leverage a deep understanding of the space to anticipate what is relevant and push the envelope of what is possible while staying grounded in the lifecycle/maturity of Qvest's segment offerings and agreed-upon business goals
    • Build external interest in Qvest.US consulting offerings with a focus on Broadcast Engineering & Transformation services.
    • End-to-end solution design and architecture of the life cycle of video content, with a full understanding of broadcast and post-production workflows.
    • Take initiative to find new opportunities with our partners, including content producers and distributors, broadcasters, streaming providers, and consumer electronics manufacturers
    • Ensure Qvest technology is represented in these partner conversations, engaging the right team to advance the conversation with unique ideas and proposals and consistent follow through
    • Build trust and confidence with business and sales leaders for engineering to have a seat at the table as a critical thought partner in building new opportunities
    • Coordinate integrated delivery across technology projects
    • Set the technology vision and strategy for your business; for example, provide clarity on what
    • Monitor whether technology projects are on track and work with the appropriate stakeholders to address issues as they arise
    • Connect dots to enable cross-project collaboration and the ability to achieve higher-level business goals that span organizational boundaries, as well as Build respect and credibility with engineers


What you'll bring
    • 10+ years in end-to-end delivery of Cloud-Based Workflows, Broadcast IP Transformation & Broadcast Engineering
    • Deep knowledge of SMPTE 2110 Standards & NDI
    • Working knowledge of solutions from Wide Orbit, Avid, Dalet, Grass Valley, EVS, Adobe, Wolftech, VIZRT, Quantel, Xytech, etc.
    • Deep Experience in specifications of Video Files, Audio files, Multi-casts, & final delivery mechanisms.
    • A mindset of cross-unit collaboration; in addition to working with multiple engineering teams you will seamlessly partner with business and sales leaders and meaningfully contribute to adjacent business discussions/ forums that have an impact on the direction of Qvest.US business strategy.
    • Highly accountable for business results; understands which levers to pull to keep engineering development & projects on track
    • Possess managerial courage; willingness to have tough conversations with other leaders/ employees to come to key decisions
    • Technological depth and breadth; a deep understanding of multiple technology domains, and the ability to quickly learn and build up sufficient knowledge, to lead across the breadth of areas that are relevant to the business segment
    • Proven track record of engineering project leadership for large, cross-functional initiatives
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, business administration, or other related fields


Preferred Experience
    • Experience at a large consulting firm or System Integrator (e.g., Accenture, Deloitte, EY, CapGemini, PWC)
    • Experience in various operational workflows (Live Production, Studio Production, News, Playout, Distribution, OTT, VOD)
    • Understanding of Next Gen ATSC 3.0 transmission standard
    • Understanding Broadcasters, TV Networks, and Video Services Providers ecosystems (Rights, Planning, Resource Management, Monetization)
    • Exposure to major Broadcast Associations (IABM, NAB, SMPTE, SVG, SBE)
