Description

Mechanical Designer II (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services, Inc.; San Francisco, CA): Plan and design mechanical systems for buildings. Develop basic system designs and prepare calculations applying mechanical engineering principles. Collaborate with senior project engineer to prepare system design deliverables per the client's intent and scope of work outlined in proposal. Follow mechanical engineering quality management process and review project deliverables prior to submission to quality assurance reviewer. Review drawings, interpret technical documents and specifications, and research code issues to comply with national, city, state, and county regulations. Prepare design documents in written and computer-aided design formats and ensure that contract documents are delivered in a timely fashion while meeting required codes and quality assurance standards. Research, prepare, and present mechanical system options and report potential roadblock to overall project scope, timeline, and budget. Resolve design conflicts and questions and provide recommendations to address issues. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). The salary range is $118,810 - $131,900 per year. #GTM #LI-DNI

Qualifications

Requirements:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: Analyzing and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings and related documents; Preparing technical design, specifications, and technical procedures in compliance with government regulations; Applying mechanical engineering quality management and review processes; Integrating design elements with architectural, civil, structural, and electrical to deliver a coordinated and constructible design; and Using CAD and Revit.

Telecommuting permitted 3 days a week, depending on business need.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 10%.
