The ethos of our team is to support OpenAI's mission and goals by clearly and authentically explaining our technology, values, and approach for safely developing powerful AI.About the RoleWe’re looking for an experienced communications professional to join our small, high-impact team. This person will support our media relations team across different areas, with an additional focus on API and developer communications.This person will play a crucial role in supporting a wide range of announcements and activity across various departments including product (API), research, corporate communications, and government affairs. They will also be responsible for managing and delegating media inquiries, and keeping the company informed about external news, trends, and the Communications’ team efforts. This includes working in close collaboration with teams across OpenAI to help drive initiatives and narratives in support of the organization’s priorities. This role will report to our Research and Product Comms Lead.The ideal candidate should bring a strong mix of strategic and tactical comms ownership. Ability to move fast and collaboratively on complex issues in a changing environment is critical.
