Role Description
This person will be responsible for developing and managing search strategies and integrated marketing campaigns that align with our clients' initiatives to help them achieve their business goals. Our growth department is responsible for the agency's SEO, digital advertising, traditional advertising, data analytics, and reporting (all done in house). Our directors help manage our team of amazing managers and specialists.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow your employees.
- Provide clear expectations, instant feedback, frequent collaboration, and thoughtful reviews.
- Work with the AVP and CRO to advance the department.
- Serve as the department's leading expert on your team.
- Direct the strategy, management, and optimization of ad campaigns on a range of platforms, including Google Ads, DSPs, social media channels, ABM platforms, print, and broadcast media.
- Tie media strategies to client KPIs. Lead the team in optimizing campaigns to improve performance as needed.
- Develop and oversee the execution of SEO strategies. Define and measure against SEO KPIs that support the overall project/marketing goals.
- Audit websites for SEO, analytics, and content opportunities that can be implemented by our division or others within the agency.
- Work with your team to ensure all websites are set up with a sound SEO foundation prior to and after launch.
- Help your team develop insightful, custom reports for our clients. (We love pretty graphs.)
- Ensure quality of deliverables on your team.
- Build positive relationships with clients and help your employees foster these relationships as well.
- Prepare and present comprehensive strategies and reports to clients and team leadership, highlighting key insights, industry trends, and actionable steps.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest changes in the industry, and communicate them to your team and clients.
- Collaborate with every department to develop integrated marketing plans for our full-service clients.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a high-growth, performance-driven environment
- 3+ years management experience and demonstrated ability to mentor and develop direct reports into more senior roles
- Excellent analytical, communication, strategic thinking, and management skills
- Ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams and partners
- Strong experience in SEO and media strategy, implementation, and optimization across an array of platforms (e.g., Google and Bing Ads, social media advertising, DSPs, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge and use of:
- Google and Bing Ads
- Social media advertising
- SEMrush, Google Search Console
- Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and Looker Studio
- A/B testing platforms, such as VWO
- CRMs as they pertain to marketing operations and data attribution
- Extra credit for Marketo, Pardot, Hubspot, and Salesforce
