During this program, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and gain valuable skills within scientific communications. You will work under the guidance of experienced industry professionals from the Rare Disease Scientific Communications team and will contribute to supporting our efforts in scientific communication and education within the rare disease setting. Contribute to the execution of the strategic rare disease scientific communications plan for 2025 Aid in the development of reactive and proactive medical content such as, but not limited to, FAQ documents, Medical Information Letters, Field Medical resources, disease state education, case study speaker program materials, post-congress content Participate in the execution of scientific congress materials through collaboration with cross-functional partners Aid in the development of publication materials such as abstracts, posters, and oral presentations for submissions to scientific congresses Support in addressing medical information inquiries and escalations What We Expect of You We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The independent and scientifically driven individual we seek is a self-starter with these qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: 18 years or older Graduated with a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Masters program for a Masters internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR Masters OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment Must not be employed at the time the internship starts Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship or co-op Preferred Qualifications: Graduate Student (preferably in a PharmD or PhD program) Strong interest in medical affairs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work both independently and within a team Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive attitude What You Can Expect of Us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
