We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for a full-time Middle School Music Teacher for the uping 2023 to 2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively act as the head of instruction for a middle school music program, teaching and engaging students in music theory and the application of playing instruments.
• Remain current on contemporary and traditional trends in vocal and musical education techniques.
• Develop course curriculum aligned to learning standards, create lesson plans with defined learning objectives, and provide support to students in and out of class.
• Establish and maintain procedural documentation for all students in the class, including information related to grading, attitude, attendance, etc.
• municate proactively with department chairs, division heads, student deans, colleagues, and parents as necessary concerning student engagement and performance.
• When necessary, monitor after-school activities while always ensuring student safety, giving directions appropriate to the activity, and modeling good behavior and ethical values.

Requirements:

• Active State of Delaware Music Teacher Certification
• Knowledge of instruments, the application of them, and music theory
• Previous experience as a School Music Teacher is preferred

Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 am to 3:30 pm) 37.5 hours per week
