CNC Machining Visual Inspector Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machining Visual Inspector to join our quality control team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting machined parts for dimensional accuracy and surface finish, with a strong emphasis on identifying and minimizing burrs. This role is critical in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and specifications. This position is full-time, onsite and is located in Agawam, MA. Requirements Conduct thorough visual inspections of machined parts to identify defects, focusing on burrs and surface imperfections. Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances of machined components. Maintain accurate inspection records, including findings related to burrs and other defects, and communicate results to relevant departments. Collaborate with CNC machinists and production teams to discuss findings and implement corrective actions to reduce burr formation. Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects and enhancing production processes. Assist in training CNC operators on best practices for minimizing burrs during machining processes. Ensure all inspections are conducted in accordance with company quality standards and industry regulations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in machining or quality control preferred. Proven experience in visual inspection, preferably in a CNC machining environment. Strong understanding of machining processes and materials. Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques. Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report findings. Skills: Proficiency with measurement tools and inspection equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus. Working Conditions: May require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials. Work in a machine shop environment with exposure to noise and machinery.
