Emphasizes teamwork and a supportive work environment. OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTANT ROLE: Accountant will utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP. Review vendor and contractor invoices for proper documentation, coding, and approval. Accountant will record vendor invoices and cash receipts; file copies for audit trails. Maintain W-9 documentation for all vendors and prepare 1099 forms at year-end. Reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and process bi-weekly payroll. The Accountant will assist Controller with reconciliations, grant tracking, and support for audits. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE: Prior experience withing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll preferred Working knowledge of QuickBooks
