Job Type Full-time Description RenewAire, the leading manufacturer in Energy Recovery Ventilation, is seeking a highly detailed and skilled Mechanical Designerto join our Engineering team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating and updating product design drawings, schematics, and bill of materials as required by the product design and manufacturing engineering teams. You will work closely with the design team(s) to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This is an hourly position with full benefits such as health, vision, and dental insurance, 401k with a 6% match, paid time off and paid holidays. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Create drawings for new products, changes to existing products and special design requests using CAD technology under direction of design team Assist in preparing bill-of-materials on new and changed designs and special design requests under direction of design Maintains drawing files (CAD, PDF and other documentation) May be involved with the BOM work and setup of purchased components under direction of the design team Occasionally assist with prototyping new sheet metal designs May provide support to sales and marketing staff through the creation of submittal drawings or application drawings under the direction of the design team /supervisor Investigates and resolves problems with parts fit and function, or improve function or ease of assembly (Support weekly change meeting process) Under the direction of the design team, prepare information for needed documentation (Drawings for operation manuals, maintenance files, purchase part info records, etc.) related to a design project All other duties as assigned Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Technical Degree in Mechanical Design preferred, or equivalent experience 0-2 years technical design experience Knowledge of CAD systems (SolidWorks Preferred) Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) a plus Manufacturing, especially sheet metal experience a plus Electrical schematic knowledge a plus Physical testing aptitude a plus Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (intermediate to advanced) Experience with programming a plus (for example C++, Visual Basic, LabView, etc.) RenewAire is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, gender, sex, ancestry, citizenship status, mental or physical disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, veteran status, or military status.
