Job Overview:Nikkiso Fueling & Solutions division designs and constructs alternative fuel stations for fuels such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG) and hydrogen (H2). Typical projects involve reinforced concrete mat foundations, installation of 45 ft. vertical or horizontal storage vessels, cryogenic and high pressure systems, ASME B31.3 pipe welding, process system installation, and hazardous area (CL 1 Div. 1 & 2 Group B or D) electrical work. We have an immediate need for CAD Drafters / Modelers to support our large scale commercial projects in the rapidly growing alternative fuel market. Our projects are typically design/build projects. We self-perform all engineering and specialty construction. Because we have a reputation of getting the job done, we are requested to do unique, one-of-a-kind projects.
Salary Range: $50,000 To $70,00Responsibilities:
- Creating 3D models of assemblies and parts
- Creating the following types of drawings:
- Construction drawings for Mechanical, Civil, Structural, and Electrical
- Piping and tubing assemblies complying with ASME B31.3 requirements
- Pressure Vessels complying with ASME pressure vessel code Section VIII
- Steel frame weldments for equipment skids and cold box frames
- Piping and instrument diagrams
- Details of machined parts
- Selection of component parts and materials to be used in the above drawing types and creating parts lists for procurement
- Creating and managing assembly drawing tree structures and estimates for completion of work
- Interaction with project, mechanical and structural engineers in creation of designs
- Interaction with manufacturing vendors regarding design issues
- Minimum completion of high school or equivalent
- College and/or CAD Technical school degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with the mechanical design responsibilities listed above
- Use with formal training for the following engineering and design software (in order or preference):
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience with Autodesk Inventor 2019 or newer.
- Experience with AutoCAD 2019 or newer preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
- PLM Software (Softech ProductCenter or other similar)
- ERP Software (Engineering BOM creation)
- Knowledge of and experience with ASME piping and pressure vessel codes
