Sales Account Executive, Fortune Media – LA
We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious Account Executive (AAE) to drive the success and continued growth of Fortune Media Sales. This role is for someone with 5-7 years media sales experience, that demonstrates a teamwork mentality, excellent communication skills, takes ownership & can be accountable to a goal and the steps that it takes to close and manage multiples deals at one time.
We are looking for candidates with experience planning for and selling media, cross platform is ideal - digital, events and print – in person, over the phone, by email, and via web-based presentations. You will be responsible for developing and managing a client book of business and proactively reaching out to ensure client satisfaction/retention while continuously hunting and closing new business. Your role will be to develop your own business and help grow the current book managed by the sellers in market. We are looking for a trustworthy team player capable of creativity, attention to detail and still big picture thinking.
Responsibilities for Account Executive Create business plans to track the attainment of goals and quotas
Manage the entire sales cycle from finding a client to securing a deal
Unearth new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into partnerships
Present products to prospective clients
Provide professional after-sales support, working within current Fortune deal flow infrastructure
Remain in frequent contact with the other sellers and clients in your market
Become a Fortune expert and an expert on your clients’ needs so you can be helpful
Respond to & work through solutions aimed at customer satisfaction & preservation of Fortune’s reputation
Negotiate agreements and keep records of sales, forecasts, and performance
Qualifications for Account Executive Proven experience as an Account Executive, or in other sales/customer service role
Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
Outstanding navigation of MS Office products; CRM software (eg. Salesforce) is a plus
Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
Organizational and time-management skills
Cross platform sales experience
Demonstrated relationships amongst clients and media agencies
Enthusiasm, passion, business acumen
Compensation:
Base salary plus commissions targeting total compensation of ~150-200k+
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Sponsorship includes H-1B, STEM OPT, TN, and any other type of employer-sponsored nonimmigrant or immigrant work authorization.
