Job Summary:
The Cincinnati Reds are seeking a passionate, skilled, and highly motivated individual to serve as the primary team photographer, overseeing all aspects of the Reds photography needs. This role requires a self-starter and team player who can thrive in a year-round, fast-paced and dynamic environment. The main responsibilities include capturing, editing, and archiving images that showcase the excitement, action, fans, and atmosphere at Great American Ball Park, effectively telling the Reds story through vibrant imagery.

Job Summary:
The Cincinnati Reds are seeking a passionate, skilled, and highly motivated individual to serve as the primary team photographer, overseeing all aspects of the Reds photography needs. This role requires a self-starter and team player who can thrive in a year-round, fast-paced and dynamic environment. The main responsibilities include capturing, editing, and archiving images that showcase the excitement, action, fans, and atmosphere at Great American Ball Park, effectively telling the Reds story through vibrant imagery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Photograph all 81 home games, capturing pregame, in-game, and postgame moments, and provide real-time content to the Social Media team.
- Capture images at non-game events year-round for various Reds departments, including the Reds Community Fund, Reds Hall of Fame and Museum, Ticketing & Corporate Partnerships plus Reds Spring Training, Reds Caravan and Redsfest.
- Serve as the primary resource for all organizational photography needs, fulfilling internal and external photo requests.
- Collaborate closely with Creative and Social Media teams to identify, edit, and archive the best images for use.
- Manage and organize the team's extensive photo library, cataloging/tagging images in PhotoShelter for easy retrieval.
- Assist Creative, Social Media, and Production teams on projects as needed.
- Assist with overseeing and assigning work to two seasonal photography interns.
- Bachelor's degree in photography, Photojournalism, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in sports photography or a similar field.
- Professional and/or collegiate sports experience preferred.
- Proven experience in sports and live event photography, with a strong passion for baseball.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and PhotoMechanic.
- Knowledge of Sony mirrorless digital cameras preferred
- Strong collaboration skills with the Creative and Social Media teams to achieve the desired artistic direction and content priorities.
- Knowledgeable in sports and social media photography best practices, industry trends, and live-action techniques.
- Ability to work in restricted areas with a high level of professionalism, trust, and respect for players, staff, and the Reds' front office, including Baseball Operations and Media Relations teams.
- Discretion and good judgment when capturing behind-the-scenes content.
- Familiarity with photo tagging practices for efficient digital asset retrieval in PhotoShelter,
- Proficient in setting up and executing photo shoots.
- Comfortable in fast-paced environments, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Creative and energetic approach to daily tasks.
- The position requires a very flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with occasional travel as needed.
- This role includes responsibilities that may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
- Non-game days and off-season work hours are typically carried out in a standard office setting.
- Adhere to Cincinnati Reds Organization Policies and Procedures
- Act as a role model within and outside the Cincinnati Reds Organization
- Performs duties as workload necessitates
- Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
