Job Description Job Description Company Description Ingram Content Group  is hiring for  Warehouse Associate  to start immediately with our Operations team in  LaVergne, TN  (Greater Nashville Area). Receives incoming book product from the publisher, writes up customer returns. Physically stacks product onto and off of pallets to the appropriate location using hand carts, hand jacks, or forklifts. Completes Q&A sheets as necessary. Works interchangeably throughout the shift to pack, ship, and utilize varying equipment to unload cartons, pull, count, and verify book product for customer orders timely and accurately.  Want to join a key team that helps the world read? Required Qualifications: Certified forklift operator or ability to be certified 1 year work experience in at least one previous job 6 months work experience in which meeting production standards was a requirement Key Responsibilities: Unloads and loads trucks. Checks shipment quantity against bill of lading and inspects condition of cartons and skids, signs as received or completes discrepancies, overage, shortage, damaged paperwork as necessary. Works shipment based on receipt by, separating cartons by title, placing cartons on conveyor, counting and inspecting books, and completing breakdown tickets. Check stock into the warehouse computer system received by vendor. The count must be broken down by carton quantity and loose books. This equation is then properly placed into the warehouse system for update that afternoon. Process all customer returns. Stacks product physically onto and off of pallets repetitively throughout the designated shift. Operates forklift and uses a radio frequency scanner to perform stocking activities such as pull down or put away. Signs out forklift after completing a daily safety checklist. Reports any unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Breaks down boxes and packing materials. Obtains picking list or task group assignments from leadership, inputs order into production system, and gets cart. Pulls/ verifies correct number of each item from shelves based on the task assignment using paper, Radio Frequency (RF) or voice- activated processes and places books on cart. Scans order out of production when completed and pushes cart in the correct staging area. Checks for damages and verifies data on customer order including entry number and number of books while packing order. Determines the proper packing method for various size orders to arrange books in the most compact manner onto corrugated cardboard boxes, t-boards, or flats according to allowable weights for method of shipping. Cleans up work area daily.
